They usually allow either! But I'd always check the formula sheet just in case.

Yh thnx

pls someone tell me the definition of redshift and blueshift?

Just did a question on it so this is from the mark scheme for red shift:

increase in wavelength (of em radiation) due to relative recessive velocity
between observer and source
Can someone please explain proper length vs normal length to me? I thought I understood which is which but I'm still getting it wrong in questions :'( Why is 4aii) in June 2011 not proper length?
Feeling confident about tomorrow... No idea why, but I am :') This is how to roll up to the exam I feel::bl:

Has anyone by any chance made a list of all the 6 marker topics on the main paper over the past few years?

June 10 - nuclear reactors and fission
June 11 - how a gas exerts pressure
June 12 - nuclear radii
June 13 - verifying types of radiation emitted by a source

June 14 - nuclear waste

June 15 - maybe something about gases?
(edited 8 years ago)
Does anyone have a full derivation of the kinetic theory equation

oh hell no gas please:frown:
I am hoping for nuclear reactor or stuff about nuclear energy, that will be nice
Anyone else staying up late cause Astro was taught like ass?

I was feeling so confident, but only until the unit 4 exam:battle:

Staying up late but not because of that, have to memorise all the bulls*** nuclear safety stuff ffs

Sorry mate but that's what i think, only one gases question ever. They've pretty much exhausted the nuclear topic in terms of 6 markers

I'll be joining you, the whole of my unit 5 wasn't taught properly -.-
Waayyy too much memorizing in nuclear/gases and astro... most of it won't even come up
:frown:

I wouldn't really say I was "taught" astro. Moreso than some dude came in and had this delusional idea he taught us everything on the specification and expected us to past papers.

Self-study wooop!

I really hope gases doesnt come up or any experiment ones altho i think electon scattering is a good one and only a comparison of alpha and electron scattering has come up before so hopefully!

What sort of gases question are you thinking then?

hoping for comparison of 2 methods of finding nuclear radius!

That one was pretty much done before a few years back was it not? Can't really think of any others :/
