Very likely, don't think I've seen a question come up in it before
Yes

How likely is the derivation of the ideal gas law to come up?

With a paper written last minute?? Likely
Explain the electron beam experiment in key bullet points

It's safer to multiply by 931.4 MeV, plus thats what the data sheet says, good luck

Original post by MrKlaus
does anyone know if you times the atomic mass unit by 931 or 931.5 to give the energy in MeV?

June 10 - nuclear reactors and fission
June 11 - how a gas exerts pressure
June 12 - nuclear radii
June 13 - verifying types of radiation emitted by a source

June 14 - nuclear waste

June 15 - maybe something about gases?

Thank you so much. And yeah exactly what I think, the laws maybe and what the conditions are for an ideal gas

What would you put for the conditions for an ideal gas? The kinetic theory assumptions?
Reply 2590
any idea what sorta definitions they might ask for?
anyone got tips on how to approach questions to do with specific heat capacity and specific latent heat? e.g. the one on the june 2014 paper

Yeah, sorry that's what I meant hahaha. Just slowly loosing it after having biology yesterday....

I thought the physics ones weren't stolen though

They weren't, physics was unaffected AQA even said

Its used to estimate the radius of the nucleus

I won't go into that much detail coz i dont think the experiment part is that important but heres a few points that may be useful
Its a more accuarate method in comparison to the alpha particles because electrons dont experience the snf so there is no electrostatic repulsion electrons display wave particle duality so they can be diffracted
A moving electron has a de broglie wavelength at high speeds
Electron scattering is easier to interpret
Electrons five less recoil and greater resolution

equations: Rsintheta=0.61*lambda

E=hc/lambda

its come up in the past as a 6 marker assessing its advantages and disadvantages
