The highest an A* has ever been for astro was 62/75; that paper was June 2011 and was ridiculously easy- it's not going to be higher than 60 for an A*.
Guys what was the range of - Alpha - Beta radiation?
I wrote 0.1 to 1m for alpha and 10-15m for beta had no idea
The questions previously stated something about maximum range. But I was a little put off by this; I couldn't find the statement 'ignore relativistic effects' anywhere on the question; so I just guessed with 0.5m and 3m.
(In truth I don't really know, and as it would appear the ranges will vary dependent on speed of the particles)
For the lead one it was Q 4 or 5 on Section A (where they asked us to calculate the energy transferred to lead to heat it to it's melting point, then it melts.
For the 16000K one I think it was an Astrophysics question to find the black body temperature of a star
