Any one happened to know why they are allowed to write z= k in 8B.

I think it is because z is not defined in the x3 equations so it should be a constant? , found my own explanation a bit strange.

Its independant i think. For any z x,y are zero.

I am nkt definate as I havent looked in detail.

I think it's because you have -2x+y=0, x-2y=0, and -x=0 and no equation involving z. This is something you kinda just need to memorise/know.

We couldn't conclude from this that z=k for the other eigenvectors, we would have to calculate it each time.

i'm in my brothers clan at the moment, we are a strong clan mostly friends/familly, only active on weekend though =p.

No, fp3 is the right choice of subject lol. D2 is easy but the methods are mind blowingly long. -_-' and definitions are so hard to remember. Fp3 is nice lol.
