If I base my predicted score on last years grade boundaries, do you think it will be accurate?

no idea what you think...

I will revise mine when I see the paper

REVISED S2 ESTIMATED GRADE BOUNDARIES

100UMS ...74-75
90UMS..... 70-71
80UMS..... 66-67
70UMS..... 58-59

These boundaries are based entirely on the poll/some of your discussions and having seen the paper

I revised for the exam quite well. However, I think if you really knew your stuff, eg did all exercises in the book - it would be fairly easy to do well in this paper. Although the majority of candidates wouldn't have done this, I expect them to be low - maybe last years would be a good estimate I guess.

maybe you are right

A lot of people had already got their A or A* whatever they were aiming for, other concentrated on STEP.
Being the last exam allows tactical decisions.

(S2 was similar/12 out of my 14 students on it needed around 60% so it will be a "non trier")

For exam structure
I would stick to the Pearson series which are written by and for EDEXCEL/PEARSON

For additional/extension I would get the Bostock and Chandler original

Hi TeeEm,

Want to ask some quick question for S2:

For question 5d,
how many marks will I lose if I have used binomial after poission distribution, but then I got the other way around, what is the max mark I will lose?

For question 7,
I got Median 10,20,50 but got Median 10 (step correct answer wrong), Median 50 (both correct) , how many marks will I lost ?

Thanks so much

I will answer this in a fair while as I started writing FP3 solutions now.
