I assure you its not the same window. I refreshed, closed the tab and went through the whole process again, closed web browser and tried again....
If its of any use, I'm using Safari. I'll try with a different web browser and let you know how i get on.

EDIT: works on google chrome. must be exclusive to Safari web browser!!

I have a holiday home here.
I drive to Greece so I stay a long time.
I am planning to be back in 2 to 21/2 weeks.

seems like you've done so much work for being on a holiday. as a side note, i'm interested to know how dire the situation is in Greece from the POV of someone 'on the front line'?

I have not noticed anything myself. However I have cash as I knew beforehand the problems, British plastic is not affected by limits in cashpoints etc.
But my house is in a village, and my daily routine is beach, walk, home and very occasionally shops. So for me nothing noticeably different compared to previous years.

Interesting, so the riots haven't reached your village.
Your routine sound very nice, although I'm not not one for beaches myself. And I'd rather be in a cold country...hot weather is not for me...

The riots are only in the very centre of Athens, so hardly anyone is affected by them. In any case, they are relatively peaceful this time (I think it was last year when they burnt down some iconic places).

This time? That's a shame some iconic places were burnt down, good that these riots are peaceful, as you say, though.

This time means the ones that have to do with the events of these few weeks. Thankfully even the more violent riots are nothing compared to what happens in other countries - I live in the suburbs of Athens and wouldn't have noticed a thing if it weren't for the news on TV
