Ledley King is one of those players who got massively overrated because he was always injured. Same with Woodgate.

King was very good. I don't think it's going too far to say that injuries ruined a very promising career.

He was a good solid player, but nowhere near as good as people made out.
Like I say injuries can often cause players to be overhyped, look at Wilshere when he was out for the whole of 11/12. People made him out to be some kind of god.

I remember reading the comments of youtube videos a few weeks ago when Sol Campbell said he had no regrets about moving to Arsenal, and all the Spurs fans were saying "oh well, we still had King, who was far better". Delusional.
Whenever Ledley King played he was the best player on the pitch. An absolutely magnificent Rolls-Royce of a defender.

Dont know if I ever said on here but I met Bergkamp once outside Highbury and we spoke in Dutch for about 2 minutes as he was signing autographs.My uncle was there and he was having a go at DB when he played left wing for Ajax back in the day. Dennis called Overmars off the bus to agree he wasnt that bad at LW, which was unbelievable. Really different guy in Dutch, very funny, proper Amsterdam humour. I have a phot of me, Bergkamp and Overmars from that night which I really love.
