ooo! I was in a similiar situation last year because I got a B in English, C in history, C in psychology and a D in sociology. I got a A and a E in history, and I got a B and a U in sociology.
I ended up dropping history because it drained me and ended up resitting the exam I got a U for AS Sociology.
A2 Sociology is a lot of stress - mostly because there's so much to remember. If you don't feel comfortable with the spec for sociology, I'd advise you to drop it. At the end of the day, it's something that you're going to have to enjoy. The only reason I stuck with sociology is because I loved the content, even though there was so much.
4 resits does seem like it's a lot. Remember that A2 is a lot harder than AS, and you're gonna have to juggle all that knowledge along with your AS knowledge. If you feel like you can juggle all that, then go ahead.
In sociology I ended up with a B in SCLY1, B in SCLY2, A in SCLY3, A in SCLY4 and ended up with a B overall. I don't know if you tried to aim for an A if you re-sat your lowest C, if it would equal an A overall.
