This is true but goals can't just come magically from the rest of the team. We can see from the matches last season and this one that the only real likely scorers are giroud and Sanchez. We need to bring someone in to boost the number of goals as no one else will as it is. No doubt giroud can get a lot of goals but we need more than he can give. We need a bit more pace and a goal threat that's why benzema would've been perfect. Walcott can't be that guy. Another name is higuain who could be a good fit?

Thing is Santi, Ramsey, Ozil, Welbeck and Ox had many chances last season, they've shown they're generally not clinical enough. They're all capable of getting 10+ in the league. Last time Theo was fully fit he scored like 14 league goals in 12/13 from the right before he was ravaged by injuries. He looked good towards the end of last season so I think he can give a big contribution that was missing last season. Benzema and Higuain was never on this summer tbh
Does anyone know anything about this Kokorin guy?

What Wenger has effectively done is used to idea of "cohesion" to dress up the great possibility that even he thinks that the individual parts are not of title winning quality. So essentially we are relying on the teamwork clicking together Sir Alex style.

We'll see if it has worked in May I guess. We have to work towards avoiding a situation like post SAF United. Hopefully the manager after Wenger will be ruthless when selling players who aren't good enough because he has no allegiance to the current crop

Wow what a gulf in contribution!

Was the poster boy for Russia at the World Cup didn't look anything special. Hardly anybody here would have watched him play on a regular basis, if they say so they're ever lying or Russian.

I'm not too sure about him. There's also the need of a striker. Such a shame benzema couldn't happen. I don't want cavani as I don't think he's that good. Aubameyang is the best option I think.

Do you honestly think Aubameyang is better than Cavani??

I's say Krychowiak would be a good shout. Relatively cheap defensive minded midfielder with a excellent technical level, strong pysical presence and can play at CB. Was in La Liga team of the year 14/15.

I'd imagine in tough away matches we'd play him and Coq for better midfielder control and protection. It would be very nice to see

100% agree on this. It sounds like we're in for him, reliable sources have said so iirc and its within a decent price bracket

He came out on twitter about an hour saying he's staying for another season lol
There's no reliable links to anyone tbh.

Change the metric to average per game or per 90 and it tells a very different story, you can't go off raw data when one player has played 50% more games than the other ffs
There was so many quality midfielders out there at the start of the summer if Wenger really wanted another midfielder he'd have brought one in by now. Sad but true. I think people are banking on his willing to take "gamble" comments for a surprise transfer

****, been at home ill and only just woke up from a 2 hour nap, not the new you want to wake up to
Tbf about it I'll be fuming if we don't sign a cdm, I can understand not signing a striker because supply has been low and prices understandably inflated but the decision not to buy a cdm is pure arrogance, Philly boy is on point on that. So many central midfielder that would have improved our squad have been sold to teams that are frankly at our level or below in terms of stature.
It's arrogance, it's stupidly and its ****ing not acceptable to be frank about it

That's fair enough but is the difference between Ozil and Santi proportionate for the fees we paid for each of them respectively? Ozil never achieved the consistency Santi had in 12/13 for whatever reason. The lack of shot and goals stat is probably the most profound. I don't think the fact that Santi has more minutes should hinder the comparison, all that should be counted is their output regardless of injuries

True the stats suggests what we already know, Ozil is better at creating chances and Santi is better at scoring. But you're right Ozil should be streets ahead of Santi when it comes to fee paid but then Santi was an absolute bargain

Cavani is not a realistic option as Ibra is most likely leaving PSG next year.
Same old Arsene every summer doesn't suprise me from Wenger, probably values tinpot cups i.e. Shield, Emirates cup more higher than winning Champions/Premier League, nothing new here. Could've bought Schneiderlin, Pedro, Lacazette etc but nah. Back to fourth boys and girls.

wish we'd go for ibra.

If you genuinely believe that you're just as stupid as Wenger is tbf...
