When did it begin to happen? Name of the condition or reason why you're losing your hearing?

Going for tests, but looks likely.

But will only help for a few years. No matter what I do. I will have no hearing by the time I am 35.
How do you think this is happening? i.e, loud music (I'm 18 and have really mild hearing loss and tinnatus from playing the tuba) or just you got dealt a genetically **** hand? Or is it non genetic? Or do you nor know

If you revised, you should pass. You can only blame yourself if you fail.

Have you started to learn how to sign?
Happens to a lot of people, so it does.
Hi! Are hearing aids a help to you? Currently there is a new hearing aid from Siemens, it has 48 hearing channels so thats 48x better hearing. Its on private but specsavers do it. Costs around £2500 I dont know if you can get any money off.

Best wishes

There are lots of younger people with hearing loss - you are not alone. Try to find out more about your hearing loss and try to educate your family and friends. Learning BSL is helpful if you have people around you who can sign. Lipreading may be a good thing to look into also. There are lots of Deaf pubs and clubs around where you can socialise with people in a similar situation who understand, which can be a relief from struggling to hear in other situations.

Losing your hearing is a lot to take in and, as you are finding, many people don't appreciate what a big deal it is. There are some great FB groups where you can find support and understanding, as well as a laugh. Have a look at the Pardon group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Pardongroup/?fref=ts.

I hope you're seeing someone in audiology who can help you find the best hearing aids for you or other technologies that might help you. The NHS is great - no need to go private!
