I have 0 faith in British Doctors

constantly misdiagnosing people.. it cant be hard to become a doctor at all as 9x out of 10 they will google your symptoms in front your face. I've yet to meet a doctor who actually cares about their work.

its all relative my friend, its all relative

if you feel that doctors are misdiagnosing you and don't care about their work,

just think about how much your baker will misdiagnose you,

or how much your investment banker friend will give charge you if overstay your 10 minute appointment by 100%.

You're stuck with the current crop of doctors and there's nothing AT ALL you can do about it.

Most of the people who hate doctors are either a. jealous b. med school rejects c. have psychotic illness
Well I'm not a doctor but I'd say you've got a bad case of beinganannoyingtrollniosis.

Nah I just don't think some doctors are very good. A lot is demanded of them, there should be a greater variety of healthcare professionals of equal status/pay to doctors, so that they don't have to literally Google the cure to your illness while you're sitting there (I've seen it done many times and rolled my eyes). I could have done that myself. That's why i have less respect for doctors.

If it was as simple as that, the capitalistic world we live in, someone would have got rid of doctors for most things by now. Why bother paying them so much money?

The reason is that if you said lets bring doctors + health care assistant salaries to the same level, the next recruiting cycle, the kind of intellectual people who were coming into medicine would just not bother. Then we'd all suffer.

They shouldn't be...

People don't realise what a brilliant thing having a safety net like this is. The question of "if I don't earn good money, will I still be able to access healthcare?" just doesn't come up.
Didn't you just apologise for creating spamming threads? You're still doing it. Once a troll, always a troll I guess.

Majority of people are pretty comfortable in the UK. Hence why the sceptics of doctors can be unhappy with the service they pay taxes for.

Then they should use private services. They are out there.

The majority of people are not "pretty comfortable" lol

The majority of people are in debt and would not leave money aside for healthcare if they were given a larger share of their pay.

Tradition. People are used to the idea of doctors, so any change in the system has to be very gradual - especially in a more sensitive industry like healthcare.

I'm not saying all healthcare staff should be paid the same, but GPs are kind of an outdated concept except if you're an old person living in a tiny village.

1. Nope we pay extra taxes for an adequate NHS which we deserve. Not some half wit doctors. We expect professionals.
2. Yes they are in comparison to the world
3. Many in the developed world are in debt. Donald Trump is in debt.
Nothing wrong with doctors googling your symptoms I would rather that than have them make a wrong diagnosis which is presumably what happened back in the day - though ideally they would use a transparently evidence based specialist lookup thingy not google

It's like telling your taxi driver you don't want him to use his sat nav because he should have the Knowledge all in his head

Doctors contibute more to society than any other profession. It's difficult to dispute that a service catered to health, is an investment worth being involved in. Doctors work extremely hard to perform their duty of care, and the majority of them, deliver. Instead of criticizing a well-respected profession, you should be grateful that such a profession exists to respond to medical needs. Without doctors, there would be a higher mortality rate. Your thread is truly embarrassing, and I hope that you eventually pluck the common sense to realise this.

Taxi drivers shouldn't use sat navs, they should know the roads so they know the shortcuts and where things are located.

The same thing goes for GPs. They should be able to diagnose and medicate common illnesses, not having to look them up. What was the point of spending so long at uni if they're just gonna google everything. It's shameful.
