Confused

Hello been on this forum for a while but never really posted before.
Title says it, I am confused about what to do in life. I dropped first year college because I did not want to do A levels, only reason I did it because parents told me to and did not expect it to be that boring and hard. College sucked. Almost a year I have not done anything but work out in my gym and sit at home eating doing nothing really. College was not right for me, I would never go back there. I have been fond of joining army/police or doing something practical maybe an apprenticeship. But there is so many things I want to do practically and I get confused. I have no guidance on how to reach my goals, no dad, no nothing so I seek help from a forum, so that is about it. I heard police only recruit every 4 years or something and I am not sure how it works so I might head towards police station and maybe ask for help. I already been to army recruitment office for help, they answered all my questions so I know how army works just not police. I am not 18 yet by the way, 18 this year.
Have you looked on the Army website for different roles? You might find one which suits you, there's a huge range of them and you can select what kind of things you enjoy or are good at.

Yes there have been a couple of roles I been interested in. But just wondering how does police force work? Is it different in each city?

I can't tell you much about it, I don't know too much. Have you looked for a website for your area?

http://www.gmp.police.uk/
That is the website but it really don't tell you much about young people joining police or anything.
I think you're too young for either the police or the army although you could look at being a cadet https://armycadets.com/ and http://www.nationalvpc.org/

Everyone likes qualifications these days so the best thing you can do is go back to college. There are otther courses besides A levels and maybe something more practical would appeal

There's some advice about apprenticeships here https://www.gov.uk/apply-apprenticeship

Dont just sit at home. If you do nothing else find a place to volunteer, it may give you more ideas and the peopleyou meet may be able to help you find paid work.

Thank you also what apprenticeship level am I eligible for? I only have GCSEs so can I do level 3 apprenticeship too? And does this police cadet program get me a route to the police force?

Intermediate unless you have 5 GCSEs and then you may be able to do advanced.

Being a police cadet doesn't guarantee you a route into the police force but it will put you in touch with people who know a lot more than I do about what you'd need to do to get a job in the police.

You could also look at the prison service http://www.nomscareers.com/
