A bit tough to see.
for the first one raise both sides of the equation to the power of 3/2 and use the rules of indices to simplify it

because 3/2 x 1/3 = 1/2

[a^1/3]^3/2 = a^1/2

For the first one you multiply both sides by 3 so that a1/3 becomes a1, then divide by 2 so that you get a1/2 whatever b3/4 becomes is the answer. The same principle is applied to the second question, make a whole number then the new fraction :wink:
