Actually it was just that one argument where you said languages are basically pointless which made me annoyed even though they're one of the most employable skills you can have :rolleyes:

Nah I've always been Instinct but the rest of your points line up, I used to take part in arguments and don't post or really take part in any real depth any more.

I realised that arguing serves no purpose because more often than not, an argument ends with each of the contestants more firmly convinced than ever that they are absolutely right. You can't win an argument because if you lose, you lose and if you win you still lose. Shooting someone down and leaving their argument full of holes serves only to do the opposite of what you want, they leave with a hurt pride, feeling inferior and resenting your 'victory' and someone convinced against his will is someone of the same opinion still.

I've found empathy while harder to muster, more effective. Or simply avoiding arguments like the plague.

I digress, thanks for the reply and reading my ramblings :tongue:
