Some statement from Brady last night. What an overall job by the offense.
Man what is there to say about Gronk?!?

As much as I hate the Pats, I couldn't help but be impressed last night.

He's just a destructive force; proved why he's the best TE in the league. Tbf, I don't think Brady would have looked anywhere near as good as he did without Gronk.
Simply put with Gronk healthy the Patriots won the big on again.

No Gronk = no bueno
New season. Same old Patriots. Same old Steelers. Really thought Pittsburgh would provide a slightly sterner defensive test though, at least
Yeah, Brady's brilliance is undeniable. You just have to grudgingly respect that man.
Great game by Brady and BB but the Steelers made some terrible decisions with the ball. Trick play to kill a drive when they were chewing up yards with the basics, clock mismanagement at the half, and then again before the 2 minute warning.

lol @ the "where is Roger" chant. This will probably be the first season I haven't rooted against the Pats every week since I started watching the game nearly 10 years back. Would be cool if the Colts got a high draft pick though

I'm moving to my uni house tomorrow and I won't have internet yet! To borrow a phrase from one of my new flatmates: 'I feel to cry'

Go down to the pub and get them to put the packers game on. Use 3g phone Internet to keep up with other games scores.

Gotta be a pub somewhere that shows? When I was in manchester my local used to have redzone on the big TV and some of the other games on smaller ones!

Might sit in the casino and watch actually because they always have it on but it's a bit odd just me sat in there on my own, in my house that's perfectly acceptable!

Jacksonville State @ Auburn though! What is happening? TD down with 1 minute to go! Tied ballgame with 39 seconds to go. Overtime is looming large. J'ville take a knee so we have OVERTIME! This could be fun.

Damn, didn't realise Oregon MSU was at 1am. Probably won't stay up for that :frown: Any earlier games that are recommended?
Arkansas doing Arkansas things...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So Bret Bielema calls out Ohio State's schedule saying it's weak. That's fine, but then Arkansas, a SEC team on the rise and with the nation's best o-line, a stout defense and a top 1-2 punch at running back, goes and loses to TOLEDO. Of the MAC.

At Home.

Talk. About. A. Trap. Game.
It's football day! (well, evening/really early tomorrow morning)
I'm going to watch the packers bears game on sky sports tonight and follow the other results online and then catch up with the rest in the morning.

I'm going to stick with Sky for today unless it turns into a blowout in which case I'll move to the Panthers @ Jags which I don't think has the makings of a blowout but if that's going awry too (I won't pretend Jax are going to blow Carolina out) then I'll just find the most competitive game. I'm now going to uni on Monday because the Great North Run causes traffic carnage coming into Newcastle from my angle so I am all in for Week 1!
As a Giants fan, I'll be up until the early hours for certain, especially since it's one of our biggest games of the season. Ah, the perks of working evenings

Apparently the GB v bears game in is on free view channel pick. I've not checked yet though.
