You likely would have been killed then. I prefer the peaceful way in which the High Tories went about the Restoration.

What morals, the Puritans removed the religion institution from the state. The Puritans just did what they wanted murdering everybody. They were scum.

I think mostly you're looking at the black people and women in the higher classes of 17th century society. The majority of black people were far more downtrodden then than they are today, and many women faced a daily risk of sexual assault from those up the social ladder from them, against whom they could seek no justice.

They were great men who brought virtue, stability and glory to Britain.

Well we don't know very much about poor black people of that period in Britain. Given how few there were. No I am talking about women in general. So you mean like mass rapes of women over decades and political protection for the men who did it? Some things don't change. Though things started to change through the period I am talking about.

Lol, how did they destroy it? They reunited a Britain that was tearing itself apart. Cromwell pacified Ireland and Scotland and introduced much needed constitutional reforms.

He removed the Monarchy and Church. You mean he murdered people in those places caused hatred and resentment for decades to come? The three kingdoms where united under the Crown of Charles I.

Charles I was an ineffective ruler as well as a tyrant. His removal was necessary for our evolution to a state that prizes liberty and tolerance rather than imposition of religious and cultural norms by autocratic fiat.

He did not remove the church...last time I checked the Church of England remained. The only major difference is that Presbyterianism replaced Anglicanism.

The three kingdoms were not united under Charles I lmao. What history book have you been reading? Scotland rebelled and smashed his armies. Ireland was in a state of insurrection. The country was falling apart.
