Either go to a different college as media is quite important! otherwise;-Psychology/Sociology-English Language or Literature-Business-Art-History-A language

Thank you. Can I choose to study Drama & Theater Studies though?

You absolutely don't need to study Film or Media Studies or anything like it, to become a Film Director!

Take the subjects you enjoy the most, and those that will stretch you. And make films in your spare time.

That's it!
it won't matter what A levels you have so do those you want to.

If you want to direct, start now, learn as you go, start small but just start doing it. It won't matter if you have media studies or not. Honestly.

look up the career paths of some of your favourite directors - wherever you are based, so UK - UK directors and see what their career path/body of work has been.

Good luck
