Is my calculator broken?

cos(48*13) should equal 8.698697883 according to mathswatch
But my calculator is saying its -0.1045284633??

Another example: sin23*60= 23.4 (rounded) but my calculator is saying -0.866023...??

Its doing the same to other questions as well! Is my calculator broken??

cos(48) x 13 =8.69......
cos(48x13)= -0.104....

same problem for sin I presume. Sin and Cos cannot take values greater than 1 or less than -1.
is your calculator in degrees?

If there is a D at the top of the screen it is in degrees mode, if there is an R then it is in radians mode. I'm guessing your doing GCSE? so always keep it in degrees mode.
