Why can't I post on threads?

I used to be able to post, then I was able to post on some but not most, and now I can't post at all. I wouldn't have thought I'd been banned from posting by moderators or anything since I haven't written anything bad (or much at all). Can anyone help me out?
it doesnt say banned under your name so I doubt you are banned. Are you trying to post on deleted thread or not logged in when you try?

Nope, and it's allowing me to reply to this one for some reason but not others such as this thread: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=3664471

My guess is that it has something to do with the subforum that it's in, and not to do with bans - I can't post there either.

I'm guessing only the thread creator and SF can actually post replies in that subforum, as I am unable to reply also.

That is a special forum that only the student finance people are allowed to post in.
