I've already addressed this.

Lots of things don't serve a legitimate purpose in a hospital. Earrings, hats, bracelets, necklaces etc. don't serve a legitimate purpose either. The reason you're saying you're against the veil though, is because in certain situations, they are actually detrimental. Not just that they lack benefit.

I am simply saying that, in any situation in which the veil is detrimental (hinders communication, identification etc.) a surgical mask is equally detrimental.

Why on earth can't I argue that?

And we've already gone through the argument re: professional judgement and how the general lay public cannot be trusted to take off their veil when the situation requires it, hence a full ban is necessary.

You can't argue that a Muslim would wear a face mask instead of a veil because it's wholly absurd. More to the point, Helenia who is a doctor has already established that doctors take off their mask when it isn't needed.

No, because, its not british. in fact its actually a viscous attack on English culture. To many people it represents a wicked and evil Islamic oppression of women. Even though im a guy im also a feminist i believe in womens rights, which muslims are fiercely opposed to. A women in Islam is stoned to death if she is raped for instance.

One that, funnily enough, is not even a traditionally Islamic tradition and not required by the Quran or any religious text.

What the **** are you talking about. I hate when people just "muslim countires dont allow...."

There are 47 Muslim counties in this world and ONLY 4 of these countries have implemented a dress code for woman.

You don't necessarily have to pass a dress code to ensure that women won't show skin. In many Muslim countries, the police would refuse to prosecute rapes because victims showed some skin. It has the same effect. See how women dress in Egypt nowadays, no one would dare to walk in the streets with a dress or a skirt.

Well boo hoo. No one has to sociable. Sometimes I just put my hood up on my hoody because I feel like it.

People can still see your face.

no one should be allowed to be in a public space with their face covered unless there is a health and safety issue.

It's nice to see a Muslim saying that.

I think that full covering is like nudity, it shouldn't be allowed in public areas. Allowing nudists, some Muslims or other minority groups to have absolute freedom of their outfit is considered as a visual aggression by the vast majority of the population.

*stoned to death if she's married and willingly commits to having sex with someone other than her husband, and has 4 witnesses to prove it.

I can technically walk around in a ski mask if I want to. I wouldn't because I would feel like a tit. But these things are best left not enforced by the law.

Many people refuse jobs to women to who wear Hijab or Burqa. Does it mean that UK is not a free country in terms of the law. It is, you need to distinguish between cultural society and the legal situation of the country.
Shame on the police officers who do respond the way you mentioned above. but I bet there action is not supported by the constitution of the country.

Police officers take bribe from criminals so, they criminals are not persecuted, does that mean that the counry support criminal behavior

Of course. So then a surgeon should be banned from wearing their mask while they are speaking to patients rather than operating?

No surgeon has ever spoken to me while wearing a mask, not even in the pre-op area.

Which explains why the punishment is almost never implemented, it's main purpose is to scare Muslims from doing something wrong.

They're also pretty sweaty and unpleasant to wear if not absolutely essential. I get mine off as soon as possible!
