I have not personally carried out a research. However, it would be ridiculous to think that a different education would make you gay. How could we explain that there are so many gay people suffering because their family is homophobic? The same thing is applicable on the opposite example, there are many straight people that have been raised in gay families.
Obviously, people whose parents are gay will be more likely to have an open mind, and therefore accept themselves if they are gay. People who have been born in a religious family, specially those that have always considered that gay means wrong, will probably be reluctant to accept that they are gay.
In conclusion, I think that while your sexuality is determined by nature, the acceptance of it will be affected by external factors as you mentioned.
