Well the initial purpose of an hijab was to preserve the beauty for their future spouse.

But Muslim girls have found a way around that by glamorizing it and making the hijab appealing rather than a deterrent, with make-up and matching it with their accessories. Which pretty much makes it pointless, so they might as well walk around with no hijab on, if guys find them even more attractive with the hijab on.

I understand your point, but to raise a few points:

makeup doesn't always enhance beauty.

how do you know that they wear makeup for the purpose of being appealing? The hijab is worn for modesty, they clearly don't see makeup as undermining it if they wear both.

Makeup to them may not be a beauty enhancer, but simply a use of their right to a physical identity - I would never wear makeup, that doesn't make me less glamorous, it just means I don't wear makeup.

Whats so wrong with them making their outfits more visually appealing?
- a neon green hijab coupled with a purple and orange jilbab may not appeal to them so they wouldn't wear them together.

It would just so happen that others may find their alternative choice appealing too, but you can't blame these women for being fashionable or praised for it.

If you ever hear on the news about some British ex pat in Saudi being executed for getting to know the locals a bit too well, you know it's al-Masih up to his old tricks

It would make a brilliant book/TV drama.

The story of this tragic hero, going over to a foreign country with nothing but his wits, becoming this guy where there are rumours of his sexual prowess throughout every town and city and eventually the conservative elite, fearful they are all raising his children, bring him down and have him killed in front of a crowd of jealous men and heartbroken women.
Oh ffs this is annoying me. First of all, OP you're getting hyped up over nothing. Second of all, I was going to start repping the Waghwan guy but then he just went downright immature and rude when it wasn't necessary at all. Third of all, hijab isn't just "covering the hair". It's about covering the body as well, and no you don't have to look like so called seventh century women and grim reapers. Hijab is about being modest, by covering your hair yes, but wearing loose clothes, so no skin tight jeans and a turban on your head with caked makeup on. You can wear accessories of course, but not to the point of catching so much attention. Hijab is also about having a modest character, so not checking out other guys and flirting with them etc. Tbh, I blame mostly the parents for making their daughters become one of those hijab fashionistas because they don't even educate them. Of course it could be the fault of the daughter because she could simply be ignorant of what hijab really is. Plus it's not even hard to read the verse about dressing modestly, wear modest clothing, simple as that.

Just because someone wears hijab doesn't automatically mean their frikkin ugly. I've seen beautiful girls who wear hijab properly, without the need of makeup too.

I don't understand the obsession of "if I wear barbie makeup with clothes that squeeze onto my body with a wrap on my head then I'm beautiful and meeting the requirements of hijab". Don't advertise yourself or put on social media that you're wearing hijab! Don't! Cos you're not! I've seen girls without a headscarf who dress way more modestly and are more religious, they just aren't ready for hijab, that's it, or some other reason.

He's telling lies. It's that troll Jameel. Supported by his wingman Plantagenet Crown.

Firstly my family are converts, and how can you prove me wrong, concerning my family?

And I already stated I was an ex and not a current Muslim, so I have no reason to lie.

You're not very bright are you, to be throwing baseless assumptions?

Hijab is just a way for girls to dress modestly that's all

The hijab is a disgusting symbol of oppression.

I'm blaming both of you when they kill me. I will need to find someone to teach me either Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali or if I really want to go up in smoke, Persian and go to Iran. Wish me luck.

I am going out and thankfully I have managed to just about relax myself rather than being like a gun with the safety catch off, ready to fire
