What do you think about the Hijab?

Do you think in todays generation the Hijab is worn more as "fashion statement" or for the actual religion porpoise?

Well the initial purpose of an hijab was to preserve the beauty for their future spouse.

But Muslim girls have found a way around that by glamorizing it and making the hijab appealing rather than a deterrent, with make-up and matching it with their accessories. Which pretty much makes it pointless, so they might as well walk around with no hijab on, if guys find them even more attractive with the hijab on.

So what your basically saying if if you were a hijab you should walk around like an ugly tramp and not feel beautiful what so ever? If your a muslim girl you loose all privileges and rights to anything a normal girl would want such as make-up, jewellery ect and you should wait until marriage for that??

And the statement you make that they might as well just take the hijab off is too wrong and stupid!!! Your saying that you might as well walk around with no hijab showing your hair then walk around with the hijab covering your hair??

LOL why do men have so many exceptions?? Yet they don't follow the simple things that they have been told to do. Men shouldn't walk around with there shirts of yet they still do. Men should also wear trousers that are above there ankles yet they don't follow this is well. Soooooo telling a muslim girl who wheres a hijab that they're better of without it completely wrong!!

Firstly your grammar is terrible

Secondly I never said "tramp", you did. But yes an hijab is meant to preserve the beauty and make her come across as unattractive.

I have also realised that you're either illiterate or just being obtuse to my quote.

I said the initial purpose of wearing an hijab was to preserve her beauty not flaunt it. So caking her face with make-up just defeats the purpose of what she is trying to portray in society. Which is modesty and to avoid glances from men.

Or maybe you could fill me in on why your prophet prescribed the "hijab" if not to preserve?

Here I have even provided you with a quote from your Q'uran which further proves my point, that the hijab was initially entailed to guard her modesty and beauty for her husband and family or sex slaves obviously:wink:.

And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veil over their breasts and not display their beauty except to their husband, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their (Muslim) women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. Likewise your grammar is 'terrible' too.

You're disgusting. The hijab has a much bigger purpose than making a women more or less attractive. One can wear a hijab the way you expect them too (no make up what so ever. No accessorise, nothing to make them prettier) -just the why you want it right? and be a completely bad muslim. And one can wear the hijab with all of the above and be an even better muslim than her.. either way you are still wrong for saying a muslim girl is better off without a hijab because they are making them selves prettier.
By the way does this then make it right for a non-muslim girl to cake there face with make up??
From reading a Qu'ran translated verse; I read that the opposite sex needs to be modestly covered.
Whether the hijab makes you 'modestly covered' is perhaps based on personal interpretation.
Kaffir are such hypocrites. The minute a sister takes off her hijab they are in there with 'too fat', 'too thin', 'orange peel thighs', 'crows feet' - and thats what they call freedom? Freedom to be abused and commodified like a piece of meat?
I think it's just a piece of cloth which is worn for modesty. Some girls can overdo it with the whole caked up makeup, tight jeans thing, etc which just defeats the purpose of it.

I've also noticed there are some strange people out there who have a hijab fetish. Hijab porn

So you obviously think hijabis are attractive, been having a little look have you?
Lets face the facts here, a man would still look at a girl with or without hijab.

And there is nothing wrong with matching accessories, I'm sure you match your clothing items together too - and it's not for fashion purposes either, nothing wrong with matching your outfit with your hijab.

If you have a problem with it, question your own "hijab", it applies to both MEN and women too. Good day.

Wow, you made a thread and a question, and I replied and now you're resorting to insults, how mature.

Okay so what's that the higher purpose of wearing an hijab then

You didn't reply to my question why did your prophet prescribe the hijab?

And lastly it's a bit rich coming from you, to call me "disgusting" when I was just making a note on an observation, when you're the one that prays to a barbaric seventh century paedophile that held sex slaves. o who's the disgusting one here? me or the billion that worship this misogynistic slave owner.:s-smilie:

Oh the irony, considering the hijab's purpose is to cover a girl's beauty, thereby treating her as a slab of meat to be hidden away.

They voluntarily wear it to be free all of the lookist nonsense. All women are the same veil-on

Possibly.

IMO girls who wear the hijab aren't necessarily more religious than the ones who don't.

Lol why are you crying?? I'm not roasting you I'm telling you that what you said was wrong

And there is no higher purpose of wearing the hijab; saying that it is worn to make women ugly is wrong. We don't were the hijab to feel ugly..
