They dont just have statistics for It jobs

The link you provided says:
"The table below looks at the prevalence of the term Statistics in IT jobs advertised across the UK. Included is a guide to the average salaries offered in IT jobs that have cited Statistics over the 3 months to 30 October 2015 with a comparison to the same period in the previous 2 years."

And the rest of that site is just IT jobs. As I said, not everyone wants to do IT. Why push IT at a ChemEng thread? Because you're trolling that's why.

OP have a look at sites like Payscale for a wider selection of careers (including ChemEng - although be aware that the more specialised your search the less data points they have).

Bottomline: ChemEng is a perfectly good career...

!!!!
dude the site you are referencing is for IT jobs. You know, jobs in the Information Technology sector. That's why it's called ITjobswatch.

So your first link was finding the subset of IT Jobs related to "Statistics". And if instead you search for Chemical Engineering, it will find the subset of IT jobs related to "Chemical Engineering".

Maybe you should concentrate on your GCSEs before giving careers advice.

Bro, he's got a top degree in Computer Science. I suggest you fizzle out and realise the link you posted was bogus.

you know your right this is a waste of time trying to debate. Degrees Don't define a person and needless to say that's not exactly a great degree by top degree i assume you mean a good uni?

3) Your insults need a lot of work.

I don't know why, when you know nothing about this subject, you continue to act like a petulant child.

Oil and gas companies take on most graduates for their roles who are in any STEM subject just about. Shell and BP for example would hire a mathematics graduate from Oxbridge over a engineering graduate from somewhere else for an engineering role. This is because the big operators will train you in your role completely. A real life example was a grad reservoir engineer who has a maths degree from Oxford who was working at Shell and there are many more.
My advice would be do the degree you want to do, get good grades, apply for an oil and gas job. The best jobs for engineers in the oil and gas industry are cushy office jobs like reservoir engineer and petroleum engineer and they accept all STEM degrees virtually.

I wonder if, 3 years further down the line, they actually studied ChemEng...

I'm closing the thread now.
