HELP PLEASE f(x)= x^2+2x+5

Hey everybody,
i have a homework for tomorrow, and i really appreciate if someane could help me ! :frown: please
f(x)=x^2+2x+5 we have to found the a & b in f(x)=(x+a)^2+b

I'll give you an example

F(x)= x^2 + 6x + 5
This can be written as
F(x)=( x + 6/2)^2 +c
=(x+3)^2 +c
=(x^2 +6x+9) - 4 (to get the +5 in the original)

which is f(x)=(x+3)^2 -4

Use the same method to find your answer. Let me know if you don't understand anything.
