Social life and A-level work

hey guys, I'm wondering how to balance having a social life with 5 a-levels. Had a big blow out with my friends because they said I don't always hang out with them. My school ends at 5pm, so from that time onwards I always chat with them. But from 7.45 onwards I want to study. They aren't taking a-levels so they don't have has much as a work load like I do. Any thoughts on what to do/say?

Not all your friends are going to be your forever friends.
They should understand the tole 5 a levels have on you if they don't then try your best to explain
