Two openly gay people in my year at school. Am sure there are more. No one makes fun of them as they put it out there that they are gay and are proud of it although they do not go over the top about it so there is no opportunity/reason to bully them. Also maybe we are at the age where we are mature enough that banter no longer goes over the top (17/18).

But anyway i'm in year 11 now and theres only 1 openly gay person in my year, no one has a problem against it but i haaaate how (im a girl btw) the word lesbian is treated as an insult... Like some people - you will look at another girl and they have nothing better to do than say oh what a lesbian laugh at her etc.
And also im under the impression a few at least people think i am a lesbian (not that i care but obvs this discussion is about gay in school, like i dont give two thoughts about it
. ever) its because im pretty much a tomboy and i feel great because thats who i am etc etc like no one in my school has ever seen me in a skirt etc because i dont find it me you know... Haha but anyway i hate how if your naot in the catogory of "normal girl" some dumb people will go against you etc , but all in all most people are quite open 😉☺
