University Access Programmes

Hey I was just wondering if anyone knew of any access schemes for UK universities. The kind of scheme that drops the entry requirements if you fit certain criteria?
I know of Leeds' and Manchester's. Are there any more?

Almost all of them are restricted to people within a certain geographic area. Access to Lleeds is one of the few that does.

I live in grimsby and skegness at a boarding school

Unfortunately, unless you're at a state boarding school then you're unlikely to be eligible for any Access programmes, with the possible exception of Access to Leeds.

The reason for this is that these programmes are designed for students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have potential but may be underachieving educationally due to matters beyond their control and / or lack access to proper information, advice and guidance. Students at private boarding schools are rarely in this position, and most Access schemes specifically exclude anyone who has been to a private school.

It is a state grammar, with a boarding house. And I received a scholarship to attend the boarding house. I looked at the access to Leeds scheme and i fit like 3 of the criteria. You need to fit two to be eligible for the scheme.

Then that's fine - you won't be classed as having been privately educated From what you say, you're definitely eligible for Access to Leeds
