Help me!!!! money wasted on porn

I'm a first year student who is suffering from depression in uni.

I have realised i have been drinking more and my porn use is getting worse. Yesterday i was drunk and i spent £33.99 in online porn sex chat with a model. I was so angry and pissed off because i haven't got much money in my bank account.

But even when i'm not drunk, i do the same thing again :frown:

. The models just tempt me. At first i like to troll them but once they tempt me, i keep pressing the credits button and having sex chat with them.

Help me please. I think i'm having a bad porn addiction because nobody wants to be my friend in uni and that i am friendzoned. Please :cry2:

Earlier this year, i joined an account which lets you have sex chat with models as i got bored looking for girls on omegle.

It sounds like you are in a difficult situation. As with any habit it will take some effort to break it.

My first question is a simple one. The sites that you visit, do you have your card details saved on them? If so a way to slow the process down would be to delete your card details. That way it is harder for you to just go through with it, you have to find your card and add your details which might give you time to think about what you are doing. Another option would be to put a block on the websites that you currently used. While you will be able to get around them it puts another stumbling block which makes it harder to do.

If it is becoming a significant problem it might also be worth limiting your drinking for a bit so that you don't find yourself in a situation where you are drunk and find yourself alone and on the internet.

Yeah, my card details is saved on the site, so once i click on the credits, it automatically takes it.

I'm trying my best to solve this problem but it has become difficult.

If you don't have an option to change the card details another option is change your password to something that you can't remember. For example open a word document type a random stream of letter and numbers and then cut it and paste it into the new password window and save. That way you will not be able to get into the account easily.

I hate to say it but it is going to be difficult. All the things that I am suggesting are really just stop gaps. They don't solve the underlying problems that you are having. Have you spoken to anyone about your mood?

I don't know. In freshers week, i was invited to clubs and raves.

Now that people are realising i'm a boring guy, I am now alone. It's ok though, next year im living by myself and accept this for 4 years.

But not everyone enjoys clubbing and going to raves, that doesn't mean you're boring. I hate drinking and partying personally so I guess next year during freshers week I'll be sat in a corner cuddling a teddy bear.
Surely there are people out there who have the same kind of interests as you! The thing about uni is having to go out of your comfort zone a bit, especially if you tend to keep to yourself.

I know this is difficult but if you really want to try and make a difference make an appointment with your GP, tell them how you feel and that you feel incredibly depressed. Also, tell them that you think you have a pornography addiction and they can help you. I know this may seem very embarrassing to have to tell someone but trust me they have had more embarrassing things that people have come to them for before.
