With all this talk about a black Diwali going on I thought Diwali was a hindu celebration so why do Sikhs also celebrate it? Or am i completely off the mark?

Sikhs are supposed to have their own Bandhi Chhor Divas on or around the same day, but many Sikhs do celebrate Diwali as well.
