I ve only been part of one prank during my time at uni, the classic fill someone's hallway full of cups of water and then we watched the chaos that followed.

Someone went home for the weekend and left their room unlocked (rookie mistake).

Came back to find all the furniture, books, T.V, floor etc. covered in tin foil plus the classic cover the floor with cups of water.

I've also seen someone's car completely covered with post-it's while it was parked in the uni car park.

The post it prank must have taken some dedication to follow through
People routinely moved the contents of peoples' bedrooms (bed, desk, tv, table, wardrobes, etc) into the lounges and arranged them as they had been in the room. Sometimes peoples' beds ended up in the elevator etc. Made for some funny Yaks.

How did you manage to fit a bed in an elevator?!

Oh, they had to put it up vertically, haha. Our accommodation beds were tiny.
We had the generic stuff like covering everything in post it notes. We wrapped most of the visible stuff in my flatmate's room in wrapping paper (took forever!) and swapped all of someone's bedroom furniture with all the removable stuff in the kitchen

Someone on the top floor of the 14-story high halls building broke a mains water pipe which then proceeded to flood their entire floor and most of the floors below.

Hilarious for everyone involve im sure.

I have plans. Yes, they involve a lot of cling film...

This is the best prank I've seen at a uni:

Flat mate went out drinking, left his door unlocked, a guy from the middle floor (3 floors in my block) and we both flipped his bed and then put his mattress on top of the legs. he came back drunk, went to lay on his bed and the mattress came off of it. he thought it was properly broken XD

this makes me want to go to uni

i will be that one person that has to do a prank a day, but i'll try not to piss everyone off
Someone once pranked my room. It was an en-suite and the shower had a double filter in the plughole - the first easily removable, the second only removable with specialist tools. Someone came into my room, removed the shower plughole cover and first filter, then proceeded to pour Hama beads down it before neatly reassembling. The first I realised was when the shower failed to drain the next day. Had to spent about thirty minutes skewering Hama beads against the side of a plughole with a pair of kebab sticks to unblock it. :colonhash:
Oh and of course the usual trick of taking someone's room key they've left out and freezing it in a block of ice overnight

Nobody ever thinks to pour boiling water over it in bowl. They always start trying to chip the ice off
All the above posts show how daring and adventurous students get. We once played a prank on our history teacher. Unfortunately he was obese and long sighted, double trouble. He used to enter the class, arrange the teacher's desk, sit down and THEN put on his spectacles. So apparently what we did was, we smeared his chair with Fevicol. Yes, you read right, Fevicol it was. Since he was long sighted and wasnt wearing his spectacles, he of course sat down on the glue smeared chair with a contented sight. That wasn't funny. It was when he tried getting up to explain something that bought forth snorts of laughter from the class because then, the seat fell in love with his a** and didn't want to let go. Let's me just conclude by saying it didn't end well for the class.
I came back from a hard night of drinking once to find my mattress in my shower; I slept on the floor that night.

There was also the time where I found the maintenance key for the lift and waited for people to use the lift and then turned the power off when they were between floors, I'd also switch the lift light off so they were stuck in a dark space. Yeah I was a bit of a dick but it was funny.

The greatest prank ever pulled off in my university was when the university's psychology department tried to market its degree as being useful.

In 1949, in the city of Ghent, Flanders, students pulled of the most famous student prank ever in Europe.
