Applying to Study Law 2016

I've seen a few people who've had responses, but I personally haven't heard. I'm hoping that they haven't sent out all the two week offers yet! If I don't hear by the end of the week I'll probably email them Monday morning to see what's going on.

I have also applied to Nottingham, if we haven't heard within two weeks that could either mean there are just being a little slow and still considering, or more likely that that we are being "gathered and held", but equally that we were not unsuccessful initially, as it states that those who were would be informed within the two weeks

Do you know what LNAT score they ask for?

Hi! I did my LNAT last Wednesday and can tell you it's nothing to worry about! I too was so stressed and nervous (even though I had been doing practise papers since the end of summer) but it was so much better than I expected. I feel like my revision only really helped with the question timings and getting used to reading big passages of text, which I was used to anyway due to taking 4 essay subjects last year. When it comes to the essay, I got 3 quite good questions but chose the one I felt I would be able to write most about and then used the white board they give you to plan for around 5-10 minutes. The best way to prepare for this is definitely to read/ watch the news to be able to give recent examples on your topic.

Has anyone applied to Salford? In particular for media and digital industries?

Nope but some of my mates have applied to Salford and they've been waiting weeks and weeks to hear back from them. If your wanting a response I feel like your in for a long wait unfortunately

I applied on Monday and got my offer today!

Unfortunately i do not but wish i did! There seem to be a whole host of different opinions on what they require / consider to be a good LNAT score. The only thing we can do is wait i guess :/

Having said that, I do think its rather ridiculous how we are made to wait, in some cases, up to four months until February to find out our results! When other aptitude tests receive them immediately or soon after, why should the LNAT be any different?

Especially considering that the universities know it already...

My bad, Sorry! I've never heard of it - is it exclusive to Salford then, it sounds interesting. Do you mind me asking where else you've applied and for what law courses?

Thank you so much, I really appreciate you replying! Hope everything turns out well for your LNAT, congrats for getting it out of the way! I can't wait for this to be over. In terms of the timings of the twelve passages and multiple choice questions, did you have a specific time frame to answer each question? How did you approach it, and have enough time to review your answers plus the essay?

What sort of range of topics did you get given for the essay? I just want to make sure to read around sectors like medicine, technonolgy, business and the arts to have a broad sense of understanding the passages, as well as material for the LNAT.

Lastly, do you think it's possible to prepare for the essay in three weeks? I changed the date to Wednesday 16th December, and I'm focusing primarily on the LNAT until then. If you followed a specific schedule, or have any more advice, let me know. Thank you so much, hope studies are going well for you!
