Lol no ffs Wenger did a great job post 07 but we really should have won the league in 2011, and also season 2013/2014. No one is more to blame for our recent shortcomings more than Wenger. He's been given the money for three windows in a row now so it's not an excuse anymore either.

Bring in Pep.

this really, failure to win the league this season has to be the end of Wenger

It was excusable what with UTD and Chelsea blooming. The fault is going 11 years without the league really, not 2/3

That Birmingham game still gets to me big time, nearly as much as Paris 06 funnily enough. If Eduardo hadn't been injured I'm confident we would have won league and he would have gone on to be a really great player for us.
Wenger must win the league this year. If he does it would be ultimate fu to Mourinho.

Spot on. Can't take people seriously when they say use the 11 years without a league title as a stick to beat Wenger with. He's done magnificently through the transition period. However there have been moments where we should have done better; 07/08 we bottled massively, same with 10/11.

Post 2013 however we should be challenging and there is really no excuse now. Spending 42.5m on Ozil was the turning point, showing we can now compete financially with the big boys, and tbf to Wenger we've won a trophy every season since. The league titles need to start coming in now, no excuses.
City haven't scored an away goal in the league since September, lads. I reckon you can carry on your good run of results against them. Don't think you've lost to them since that 6-3?

Wait....what? Not scored away since September? That can't be right.
Turns out it is true. They've only played 3 away games since September to be fair though.
Always **** my pants before games like this. By all logic, we should be giving them a good beating. But logic goes out of the window in these types of games. We absolutely NEED to win this.
Would you guys prefer the yo-yo effects of Liverpool/Man Utd/Chelsea in recent years (with title challenges/titles won and then failure to qualify for CL soon after) or what Wenger has provided? Consistent year on year results which has helped the club to continue to grow and improve slowly every year.

I doubt any club besides Arsenal would have kept Wenger as the manager despite 8 trophy less years. That said, if he won us the league this year and left us in a good place for the new manager (unlike others have done) those 8 years will have been worth it.

That can only be determined by out performances in the next few seasons. If we are winning then id say the wait has been worth it.

Stating the obvious much lol?

Unless there's Arsenal fans who'd turn down Pep out of 'loyalty' or the excuse that 'Wenger deserves to reap the benefits of the transition he's masterminded' etc, which would be hilarious.
