United World Charts

No 1 - 'Hello': 721,000
No 8 - 'When We Were Young': 141,000 - Hot Shot Début
No 32 - 'Water Under The Bridge': 70,000
No 38 - ''Send My Love (To Your New Lover)': 63,000
No 40 - 'Remedy': 61,000

Global Chart Album Top 40
No 1 - 25: 5,706,000 - Hot Shot Début
No 8 - 21: 75,000 - Largest sales increase
No 20 - 19: 44,000

Decade chart: 25 débuts at No 18. Outsold the rest of Top 40 combined, landed as the year's biggest-selling album, surpassing Taylor Swift's 1989's 3.44 million copies sold in 2015.

21's total is at 27,134,000 copies sold.

'Hello' has an accumulated 4,833,000 points after five weeks.

With 25 taking over 'ALBUMS WITH BIGGEST SALES IN A WEEK' in Top Achievements, Adele now has 2 of the 4 global records, and will claim 'ALBUMS WITH MOST WEEKS IN THE TOP 40 (SINCE 2004)' if 21 stays on for three more weeks, and breaks the record if it stays on for four weeks or more.

I have seen Adele several times live, she has a fantastic voice and is very down-to-earth (swears like a trooper!). However, 25 is such a let down, it is merely an extension of her previous morose albums... oh heartache, more heartache and, even more heartache. I do not deny Adele has smashed lots of records with 25 however, I really hope she learns to loosen up.. some cheery songs might help

Heartache and more heartache?

Did you listen to the album?

'Hello' is a makeup song for herself.
'Send My Love (To Your New Lover)' is an upbeat song to say she's moved on.
'I Miss You' is a love song written for her boyfriend.
'When We Were Young' is about getting old and finally seeing everyone who's fallen out in the past, but they are having so much fun at 50 they don't even care.
'Remedy' is a love song written for her son.
'Sweetest Devotion' is a sweet love song.
'Water Under The Bridge' is a sassy song, not a heartbreak song.

That's 7 of the 11 tracks (63%), or 5 of the 5 (100%) that are most purchased.
It's official: The United World Chart said 25 has sold more than 10 million copies world-wide after only 22 days; the second album after 21 to do that in this decade.
Wow, that's actually a pretty respectable number of sales!

It's historic.

She broke the historic overall fastest-selling sales records in the USA, Canada, Poland, UK, New Zealand etc; certain fastest-selling sales records in France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria etc. In the UK, it's the fastest album to reach both the 1 million and 2 million thresholds and it seems certain now it'll break the 3 million record at least as well. It's now expected to reach diamond in the US by March, which will break the record of fastest to reach diamond scanned sales (previously held by Backstreet Boys at 39 weeks).

After only three weeks, it's already diamond in Brazil and Germany (approaching double diamond), and is almost certain to reach that mark in the USA, UK, Canada, Poland, France etc.

All this whilst 'Hello' remains slaying the charts - United World Chart is expecting it to be Top 5 for the year when it's over.

When 2016 becomes, Adele will have four of the past six years' top-selling album.
