Jones is terrible. He should be given one more season (next season) to show form and fitness. If he does not, he should be shown the door.

I reckon he's already had more than enough time to show that. He just can't string a run of games together, no matter how many opportunites you give him, and he's shown to be mistake-prone.
I wouldn't mind keeping him around as a squad player but in no way should he be a starter if everyone else is fit and available.
If he doesn't like that state of affairs then he can go to Sunderland where his kind feel at home.

See even less point in having an injury prone player as back up. Injury crisis waiting to happen.
#mufc XI: De Gea, Young, Jones, Smalling, Blind, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Mata, Herrera, Martial, Rooney.
#mufc subs: Romero, Darmian, McNair, Carrick, Pereira, Fellaini, Memphis.

I've noticed that you only come on here to post the lineups and then disappear thereafter.

Stay for a bit and chill.

Actually i am around quite a fair bit, but i can't be arsed to get involved with #thoughts and #poverty gibberish that goes on, when more often than not it is flamed by the non-united supporters. Hence, i tend to be more vocal during matchdays and avoid the rubbish that goes on in between.

Do you think after Jones awful showing he's being shoved to RB and Young at LB. With Blind and Smalling as CB. To be honest i'm bit surpised Darmian isnt starting over Jones.

Part from that, probably our strongest first 11 atm.

Jones has played RB before but i would be surprised if that was the position they put him in, rather, i would expect Jones and Smalling at CB, with Young at RB and Blind at LB.

The whole Darmian business is quite frustrating though especially when he is a specialist RB, although in fairness, Young has been doing a reasonable job in that position.

Poverty is a **** word that needs to disappear tbd

However, thoughts is rather humorous.
5 of the last 6 games that Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger have started have ended 0-0

That GOAT CM combo that we had to hear about all summer.
Is it just the early pressure but doesn't it look like we're playing 3 5 1?
Don't think we have played this formation before
3 CB 2 CM 1 AM and 2 wingers.

SHOOT why are you passing?????????
Phil Jones is so useless and Blind can't take a corner to save his life.

Given their position is primarily about protecting the defence, that's a brilliant record

Does look like 3ATB but I think it's just the fullbacks pressing really high. Young is basically playing as a winger

Jones is basically playing RB

When youre in the box in a good position shoot the ****ing ball. Why we trying to pass it?
If roo passed i would be so annoyed

Only one of them (Basti) has the role of protecting the defence, the 2nd man in a 2 man midfield is usually either a playmaker or a midfield runner (Fabregas, Ramsey, Yaya Toure etc.)

Hmm its only young thats pushing forward thats why i thought it looked like a change of formation. Its looking promising, the way we started and the way we're passing the ball.

If it was united player who did the challenge cork did, it would have been at least a yellow. Commentators not said anything tho...

You're saying Schneiderlin's main responsibility isn't a defensive one?
