coursework and controlled assessments are the same things
It has to be done in school, however certain parts of the CA require you research which can be done outside of school and you usually have to have the link for the website you used etc.

English coursework: not controlled, can be redrafted at home.

coursework has been scrapped it's just CA which means it can't be taken home to redraft you've got to redo CA if you're below your target grade

Yeah... I'm in year 11 and I do both, so they haven't been scrapped (yet).

In year 10 we're still doing both. Perhaps the new GCSEs have had them scrapped?
