Equality Act 2010 says it is

"10 Religion or belief (1) Religion means any religion and a reference to religion includes a reference to a lack of religion."
My understanding is that atheism is a lack of faith?

(Atheism being the something)
If you're going to pretend that atheism (note atheism =/= strong atheism) is a faith, then you'll also have to concede that bald is a hair colour.

We will also need to create words to describe those who lack a belief in Santa Claus; fairies; and unicorns.
i think defining atheism as having faith in faith being fruitless is counter intuitive to the concept of faith. therefore, atheism is the lack of faith.

In the trust that our world cannot be created by a big man in the sky. And that we can explain most of the universe with science

Well, no, but let's roll with that for now.

Do you have complete trust that unicorns don't exist?

No... It really isn't. It's nothing more than the lack of a belief in any god. (Note: those that hold the stronger belief that there is no god also fit into this category)

Not correct, because otherwise agnostic atheism cannot be a faith

Okay, you're either trolling or are incredibly ignorant. Either way, I'm out.

According to UK laws and dictionary definition, it is.
