Muslim woman kicked out of Trump's event.

A Muslim woman was removed from Donald Trump's campaign event in South Carolina on Friday after standing in silent protest following one of the Republican front-runners controversial immigration comments.

Rose Hamid, 56, attended the event in Rock Hill wearing a hijab and a shirt that read 'Salam, I come in peace,' hoping that her presence might manage to change the opinion some Trump supporters have about members of the Islam faith.

She positioned herself directly behind Trump, and when he began to speak about Syrian refugees being banned from entering the United States and suggested that many had ties to ISIS, she silently stood up out of her seat.

Police immediately escorted her out of the event while the audience booed the woman and yelled at her to 'get out,' with one man screaming; 'You have a bomb, you have a bomb.'

Trump gets on my nerves so much! Of the many attacks of ISIS how many have been carried out by Syrian refugees (please don't include any where passports were 'accidentally left behind'? He doesn't care at all about the suffering in Syria proved by him suggesting to not letting then into America.

Why use an article about one specific incident to have a bash about all his policies?

Protesters are removed from political events all the time. It's hardly news worthy.
This Trump guy has a massive ego. No wonder he is hassling the minorities.
They did her a favour. At least she didn't have to listen to the rest of the crap he probably spewed

bc all his policies are pathetic and stupid. If it's 'hardly news worthy' why are articles posted about it

At least she can say she tried.
Props to her for her courage and the way she handled it.

You think its pathetic and stupid to increase funding for PTSD treatment for war veterans?
Wow shocker, Muslim removed from anti-Muslim event. What next? Wet water?
I'm glad she was removed from the gathering. That's childish, attention-seeking behaviour. It's uncivilised and unnecessary, all she managed to do was to embarrass herself. She should have just stayed at home rather than getting involved in things that she has no business being involved with. Long live Trump.

She was deliberately being a nuisance, if she disagrees with him, she should have not attended. End of.

Hmmm
Tbh everyone knows what Trump thinks of Muslims and going by yourself dressed like that to an event where most if not all the people are anti-Muslim isn't really gonna end well. No one had a problem with her while she was sitting down, why the hell would you stand up while the guy is talking - not only is it rude but it's also suspicious and draws all the attention to you.

I think Muslims in America should just do marches, blogs, events etc. in order to show people they're peaceful, there's power in numbers, it won't look suspicious, the authorities are notified of such events and it's just peaceful happy times.
She turned up wearing a faux yellow star of David with "Muslim" on it. If you don't know the significance of that then go educate yourself but the long and short of it is she's comparing the treatment of Muslims in America to the treatment of Jews in Nazi Germany. This is a disgusting thing to do and is highly offensive.

Stealing a symbol of Jewish genocide to cause disruption. Pathetic and deliberately provocative. The tactics worked though and she got what she wanted.

The "I come in peace" thing is such disingenuous crap as well given that she has a history of being a Hamas terrorism apologist.

The Trump knuckleheads who shouted abuse are to be condemned but let's not pretend this woman was anything other than an agitator.

Spoiler

Is that not the point though? If you want to make a statement about something or protest something, you need to attract attention if you want it to work.

Disgusting post.
It's hardly wholly inappropriate. Donald Trump who could well become President has advocated for banning all Muslims from entering the US and wants to spy on every Muslim place of worship. Despite the fact that tens of thousands more American are killed each year from guns than Muslims but at least he's promising to tighten gun laws...oh wait.

But hang on a minute, banning an entire religion from a country and spying on them? What does that remind me of? I can't remember another time such discriminatory measures were passed against an entire religious group for no good reason...

Doesn't it just sum you up though that you are more concerned with disruption to a Donald Trump event, then you are by the downright racist things he's been saying.

I gather you're Jewish although I could be mistaken, but surely you of all people would applaud someone standing up to such an abhorrently racist man, but of course not. Imagine if he'd said 'we should ban all Jews from the USA'
Would you complain about a Jewish person going to his event to protest? Of course you wouldn't.

You're one of the biggest hypocrites on here and quite frankly your willingness to defend someone like Trump speaks volumes about you as a person.

Let me help you with that.

The temple mount in Jerusalem is the most sacred place in Judaism. The site is controlled by Muslims. Non-Muslims are forbidden from entering the compound though. The "evil" Israelis who supposedly oppress the Muslims allow them to have sole access to their most Holy site.

Another example would be the city of Mecca. It is forbidden for non Muslims to enter this city.

Unlike you though I don't believe people who do this are as bad as Nazi's. Not all Muslims are like Nazis, even if people like YOU THINK SO!

Of course, let's make this all about Israel despite the fact it has nothing to do with them. No matter what the conversation if you can make Israel out to be a victim you're in your element.
I've been to Temple Mount. Non-Muslims are allowed.
And discrimination like that is wrong of course so quite why you think the fact non-Muslims aren't allowed into Mecca, justifies trump wanting to ban all Muslims from America is absurd.
I don't believe any state should have a religion or any religion should have a state , that includes every Muslim and Christian country as well as Israel.
