On the one hand, you have a Tory who is out of touch with most people and uses their money to purchase a £10 million jet and on the other hand, you have the leader of a party who is so frugal that people are rushing to buy him his ideal gift and with the money left over, he's giving it away to those less fortunate than he is.


If they had given a bike to David Cameron, he would've have already sold off the bike for a tenner and pocketed the extra to use as "campaign funds".

Or, putting it into context, a jet already owned by the military and that has a life of ~30years is being modified to allow senior politicians to use it as a safe and secure transport for the many long range trips they'll need to do. Regardless of party, regardless of the fact that Cameron probably won't be PM by the time it's finished.

It's a UK asset. Not a Tory party asset.

You are aware, I'm sure, that the RAF has operated aircraft like this for a long time, yes? That travel for senior officers, politicians and the royal family is regularly conducted like this, yes? That this is, in essence, in no way new at all, yes?

Or rather, are you just another person trying to score cheap political points off the back of your own ignorance?

And as a UK citizen, I can use the jet and fly down to St Barts?

Here you go 28" at almost half the price, 28" will allow you to dib in an upright position, i can't abide having to bend over to dib.

c) He'll lead the greenest government ever, then went on to cut renewable energy funding.
d) Decision on Heathrow

Isn't that what totalitarian leaders do? Say one thing but do the other? Cameron is starting to exhibit all the characteristics.

Some government assets cost more than others and I'm not really sure why you are comparing a £10 million jet with a pencil.

The more accurate sentiment in this context is they've always done it that way.

And the country has never been monumentally screwed by it.

They promise a lot, get voted in, don't deliver, get voted out. And it flips back and forth. Works out fairly evenly in the wash overall. So it's only prudent to have a healthy cynicism to them all.
