Rosicky's back and we're using the younger tripe that have no effect on the game whatsoever. He should at least be on the bench. I really rate him, but instead Adelaide and Iwobi are sitting there. Sort it out Wenger.

oh yeah, last season we had Bellerin [second PL start] Chambers Mertesacker Gibbs as our back four at Stoke

and bloody Emi Martinez or whatever his name is, in goal. :cry2:

Iwobi deserves to be sitting there, and how long has Rosicky been back?

Like 2 weeks. And sorry, Iwobi has potential, but we seriously have no impact subs or squad depth. You need players you can rely on to change the game, and Rosicky is the most experienced player we have.

Rosicky hasn't had any gametime, so at the most he'll be on the bench for this game. We currently have piss-poor offensive coverage on the bench, so I'm happy to have Iwobi there, just in case.

Sanchez gets substituted a load too.

It's not perfect but obviously better than just calling a 15 minute sub appearance equal to a full 90 as you have to with games played.

Sanchez rarely gets substituted.
Gonna make a bold prediction and say we'll end up winning relatively comfortably. Stoke are actually trying to outplay sides this year rather than bully, and if they play the same way they played against some of the other teams in sure we'll come out on top. The first goal in this fixture will decide where the points where will go.

Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Leicester have all dropped points there. This isn't the Delap throw/hoofball side it once was but they're still very dangerous

It's like they didn't see us play at the Britannia last year? Admittedly we went there with a far weaker defence/gk.

Wasn't that Bellerins debut? I remember your RB getting absolutely roasted

Think it was his second PL start? Defence had Chambers and Gibbs (no Kos) in it too so hardly our first choice back 4. Think we had Martinez in goal too!

I have no idea what point you're making here

Starting xi are all about that 15 minutes picking up appearance bonuses right.

Kompany, silva, aguero, Coq, santi and Sanchez are players that comes to mind when thinking of 15 mins appearances.

Basically your point was nonsensical.

You've misunderstood the discussion. It was about starting 11 in the sense of 'best/first 11'.

The thing about 15 minute appearances is just because we were talking about whether Arsenal or City's key players have been injured more, and the other guy used games played but I said minutes played was better because it's more accurate due to those small sub appearances. You then came in and said "Yh because the conversation wasn't about 'starting xi'. Keep on flipping" (??) which was the only nonsensical point. It literally had no relevance to anything in the conversation lol

What world do you live in? If you're injured you miss games not minutes.

Player x is out for y minutes said no one ever.

The players we're talking about aren't benchwarmers. They're all regular starters and start pretty much 100% of league games they're involved in. Any game they start on the bench is an anomaly; you don't use anomaly to make a point. So really there's no need to bring mention of cameos into the discussion as it's moot.

City are on a roll, Chelsea continue to slide. If arsenal lose tomorrow no one will be surprised

Yes there's no such thing as getting injured midway through a game, taking a player off early to avoid potential injury or easing them back in with a substitute appearance.

Well Aguero has failed to complete the 90 in 13 of his 15 appearances, Silva 9 of his 14, Sanchez 8 of 14.
Do get the feeling that Leicester will fall away now after seeing their fixture list. We are likely to as well in all honesty given previous seasons. I think City will be resurgent and really start to kick ass, their first team is something else.
