What genre music do you listen to?

I enjoy a mixture of indie and alternative rock/pop.

Anything really! I quite like indie and acoustic music. But I am pretty open to anything. Currently listening to Ingrid Michaelson. What is your favourite song?

Trance, love it.
Classic Rock/Punk Rock/Alternative/Indie/Rap/Pop/Metal. Just about every genre with the exception of classical. I just can't hack it.
Mainly rock and pop and all the subgenres of those. I also like r&b.

The genres I don't like are the really noisy ones like death metal or screamo or anything that just sounds really noisy without any melodies in it. I don't like electronic/trance/house etc music either cause there are no instruments so that falls into the artifical noise category for me.

My Spotify 2015 thing showed that out of my top 5 genres, 4 were a variation of pop... (pop, dance pop, europop, new wave pop x)).

So I'd say thank and definitely the other genre - German Hip Hop (i'd say more pop but eh)

example of one of my fav. german artists

pop, rock, EDM... anything that sounds good
I only listen to recordings of radio static and dial up internet noises
Punk rock and al the way to some post hardcore. Then some generic stuff though that's stuff that I would be happy to listen to if it were on.

I like most genres of music really, nothing too heavy like death metal though. I used to say that I liked most of the music in the charts (about 5 years ago) but it's just gone downhill and I don't even know how some of the songs make it to the charts these days tbh.
Atm I really enjoy listening to Lullaby by Professor Green and Tori Kelly, Bleeding Out by Imagine Dragons and Good Life by One Republic.

R&B is my favourite<3, followed by Pop and Indie Rock. I like some electronic music, but only when I'm dancing or working out; I wouldn't sit there listening to electronic music

But a lot of death metal is melodic for example:
. The band Death were one of the bands that started death metal up back in the 80s. I can get it if you don't like the vocals but to implicitly say that death metal doesn't any melody sounds to me as though you've not really listened to much death metal, but maybe heard something heavy and thought it was death metal.

and synthesisers are instruments. There's some excellent electronic music out there:

I don't get how that track has "no instruments".
