Fashion Journalism at University of the Arts, CSM and LCF

I've applied for Fashion Journalism at CSM and LCF and I just wanted to start a forum for any applicants applying for Sept 2016; I sent my application yesterday and I am extremely nervous waiting for a response and would find it useful to know when others are getting responses :smile:

Do you have a blog? I am applying also, I am from Ohio, USA and I do not have a blog or work experience and I was wondering if being an international applicant would make up for that?

Yes I do but i have only started it in the last few months so it's not a huge part of my application. I attended the open day and they seemed to understand that not every one has the opportunity to do work experience and they emphasised a lot that if you are a good writer and have an original voice then that's the most important thing Have you sent your application off?

No, I haven't! I am still working on the personal statement. It is taking me a lot of time, want to make sure it's good. I feel like it's the most important part for me because I don't have much experience. Have you?

I've applied for Fashion Journalism at LCF, CSM, UCA and Southamton Solent! Has anybody else applied to these too?

Southampton Solent got back to me pretty quickly but I think they're my last choice as I don't think the uni is specialist enough for this course type, whereas the other unis are all very creative.

I got an email from UCA about the applicant portal a few days after I'd sent off my UCAS. I checked it today and I had a message inviting me to an applicant day where there would be an interview and portfolio review.

I think LCF/CSM have a similar system to that, but I haven't heard anything from either of them yet.

So nervous about the applicant days, I really don't want to mess it up!!

LCF and CSM won't get back to us until after 15th Jan, I think they have equal application

no! i applied for fashion journalism at lcf, fashion communications at csm and magazine journalism and publishing at lcc. i have heard back from London Met but not the others

I've also applied for fashion journalism at LCF and CSM. It's passed the 15th of Jan now and one of my friends has recieved an email confirming her interview at LCF. I haven't heard yet and am getting very worried!

I thought my application was the best that I could do, I've written a blog for six years now and have expressed my keen interest in fashion journalism strongly in my ps.

Should I be worried or be patient?! Has anyone else got a reply yet?

I've applied for Fashion Journalism as well and I haven't heard anything yet. They did say at the open day that they receive hundreds of applications, it may just take them a while for them to get through all!

Yeh! I think you're right!

Although considering interviews are at the end of Feb I don't think they have much longer to tell us haha!

I applied for Fashion Buying and De Montfort, Westminster, Ravensbourne and UCF and Fashion Merchandising at Westminster. Has anyone heard back from either Ravensbourne or UCF? Literally can't find a feed anywhere?? x
