Not allowed to do musical theatre/acting in university

It depends if you can make alot of connections with the course and gain work experience from it. I knew a girl from school who did theatre as a degree and a guy who done film production and they are both working in retail.
Personally i did Btec level 3 in Performing Arts/Production Arts i enjoyed it but did not feel it was right to do it at degree level as i thought there was not much prospect with those degrees.
Choice is yours i do feel its all about who you know then what you know, your parents are probably looking out for you.
Do you have a clear career plan after? It doesn't seem to me a degree where you can do quite a few different jobs with?
