I lived in Saudi Arabia for the best part of my formative years and can't quite stand the smell of it.

Bacon.

Seconded. But I'm vegan so that kind of makes sense. At least it's not surprising.

The usual stuff: I like meat and dairy too much; I live with my mum so no prospect of separate meals; I think my health would be disturbed. :3

I don't know about your political views, but I think if you care about the environment at all and/or have socialist leanings it's a great thing to do. The meat and dairy industries are the ultimate in capitalism and consumerism, turning bodies into products.

The NHS and the WHO both agree that a well planned vegan diet can be healthy. I think there may be some false vegan health claims though, I wouldn't know but they seem a bit iffy.
http://bitesizevegan.com/environmental-societal-impact/12-you-cannot-be-a-non-vegan-environmentalist-environmental-impact-of-diet/ check out this video if you want to know about the environmental side of it

I won't post any more about this on here as this isn't what the thread is about, but feel free to message me for more information (even if you don't want to go vegan).

I've never tried asparagus, Marmite or almonds.
