The Student Room Group

What to do during study breaks?

In my timetable, I don't have anything interesting to do in the short 10 minute breaks between the revision. So I just end up using my phone or going on TSR and before I know it, it's almost midnight.

I would like to know if there's anything I can do that I can look forward to in the study breaks instead of wasting precious hours on my phone.

Thank you!

Maybe some youtubers that you might like? (Eg superwoman videos tend to be less than 10 mins long)

Quick game of FIFA with the lads..

A chapter of a book?

Or weightlifting or something in front of a TV.

Omg mate, I have the exact same problem as you. Its always GTA or my phone or my PC. I aim to spend 10 minutes on them and I look up and everyone's asleep and its its 1 AM.

Spoiler

Yes! Superwoman is amazing!
I'm planning to do use the pomodoro technique for revision where you have intervals of studying and then short 5 minute breaks. They have ideas of what to do in breaks on the site: http://pomodorotechnique.com/pomodoro-technique-short-break/

Some of them are:
- going for a walk around the house
- exercises
- small organising tasks (pencil case, desk)

Yeah, she's awesome! I don't really watch any videos from youtubers apart from her.
