That's fair enough - but surely you don't sacrifice your only out and out striker, given the knowledge that chances can break in all manner of circumstances and having a finisher in the box increases your chances of scoring? Replacing Giroud basically meant Arsenal weren't going to score, so he was settling for a 0-0.

This. Who is going to score for us when we've not got a single out and out striker on the pitch?

Despite losing I think as per usual the overeaction from your fanbase is a bit much. Getting Coquelin back will be big for you guys, however I don't think you'll win the league as its impossible for you not to pick up injuries to key players.

Hopefully our injury phase has passed and we'll keep all our big players fit between now and the end of the season. Who wins the league is ultimately going to come down to who can avoid injuries the most.

Injuries are inevitable, but it often depends on WHO gets injured, WHEN, and how many do at the same time.
Injuries aren't a problem really, before this year we've always had an "injury crisis", all it means is our injuries have exposed our squads weak points in depth. City were playing with their 2nd xi defence for the first 5 odd games for christ sake, they just have a better squad to handle it.
Coquelin back on Saturday, according to Dean.
Don't forget the impact of the injury on form (upon return) too. Coq could well revert to the directionless chicken he was in 2012-13
Tbh I don't fancy our chances against Southampton they've been on a hot streak lately and we have been terrible. Those last 3 games have really put us in a very difficult position
Na you'll beat southampton.
Southampton? They'll get Charlie Austin to do what Diego Costa did

Oh, don't forget Palace - fail to beat them and we've failed to beat a London club at home. Which sums up our season perfectly.

People were calling for fergie to go after he lost 6-1 at home to city. Basic overreaction

I remember quite clearly on another forum, minutes after the final whistle came the thread "Fergie's lost it, he's got to go"
So Hazard created more chances in his 10 minutes yesterday than Ozil has in all his league matches against Chelsea.
Not a great stat considering Ozil's playing against two buses and Hazard came on with 10 mins to go against a team that was in full attack trying to steal a goal.

Was laughing so much seeing Chelsea defend with 10 men in the box as soon as they went 1-0. Joke club.

"Parked bus"

brb more possession
brb more shots
brb more shots on target
brb "why are a team protecting a 1-0 advantage sitting deep?"
brb has no idea what a parked bus actually is

If Remy wasn't so unfit that would have finished 3-0.

Because its not like Arsenal parked the bus in that game.

Brb, last 5 mins we threw players forward. No ****.

Foolish ediots.
Evening Standard summed it up perfectly. "Chelsea came with no plan to counter Ozil, because they didn't need it. "
