I would say start ASAP. If you leave it later there will still be stuff available, but obviously the better properties go first. There's no harm in starting now and getting an idea of prices and locations. if you're both going to University of Sheffield, the best locations to start looking are Broomhill, Crookes, Crookesmoor and City Centre.

You can find information about when to look for private accommodation on our website at http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/propertywithus/looking. Since you are a couple, we would advise that you start looking very early for accommodation. Although there is a generally a surplus of private accommodation, there is high demand for student properties for couples.

You can search for properties on our housing finder: http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/propertywithus/housingfinder

Good luck with your search- we look forward to seeing you in September:smile:

Hi, I would like to apply for the MSc logistics and supply chain management, it is great.
I would like to know if it's over-applied and if there are places left.
I am from italy, can i apply? Did i need to score a particular mark in my italian degree? I know about the 2:1 reqirement, but is there any specific requirement for italy at sheffield uni? Some uni already accepted me but i would really love to study at your course.
Thanks

Good evening all

We have some great news to share - we have 100 scholarships worth £10,000 each for our taught postgraduate courses for 2016 entry. The scholarships are for UK/EU students who meet at least one of our widening participation criteria and/or students who achieve a first-class honours degree. If your application is successful you can use the scholarship towards fees or living expenses. The closing date for applications is 22 May 2016. For more information and to apply, please visit: www.sheffield.ac.uk/ssid/finance/sps

It is possible to apply for a scholarship and to apply for a loan from the Postgraduate Masters Loan Scheme, which was announced by the UK government in the autumn.

Good luck with your application!

Thank you! I started looking at the Propertywithus site, but there is not much to choose from at the moment, we will keep looking.

Hello all! I am a 21-yr-old English grad applying (perhaps a little late) to the iSchool, where i'm pondering the Digital Library Management and Information Systems courses.

I'm also going to apply for the postgrad scholarship mentioned above. I'm really wondering, what are the chances of actually winning one? I have a 1st Class B.A. and meet two widening participation criteria (three if I went for Information Systems as I would be a woman taking a CS course) I wish I could read about previous winners and thus see what my comparative chances are...

Hi! I'll be starting an MA at the university of Sheffield in September and I'm looking for an advice on university accommodation. I read on the website that there are 42 and 51-weeks contracts, which one is the best? I'm Italian, so I won't have any other place to go during the summer...but since during those holidays I'll be working on my dissertation I was wondering if it is required to stay close to the university or if I can go back to Italy and work from there.
Thank you in advance
Hi!
My boyfriend and I are both coming to Sheffield in September for our MSc so we have a couple doubts, first I would like to have more information about accommodation for couples, the web page is not really clear about the one room flats available and how would be the selection process, we are a mature couple (27) and we want to stay at a quiet place away from noisy undergraduates.
Planning on applying to Sheffield for PG for 2017 entry. Already made a thread for it if people want to check it out
