Anyone here managed to get onto a clinical doctorates?

I was wondering if there are any psychology graduates that have managed to get onto a clinical doctorates here?

If so, I'm very interested to hear of your work experience which got you onto the doctorate, and which year you managed to get on?

I'm a current first year trainee on a clinical doctorate programme.

I graduated in the summer of 2013 with a first class degree and spent two years working as an assistant psychologist in the NHS (one year in a chronic pain management programme and one year in a low secure locked rehab unit). In between these two jobs I held a very brief research assistant post too. I had two part time jobs in low band NHS roles whilst I was still studying for my degree which I think helped me to get an assistant psychologist post so quickly (I was offered the job before I graduated).
