PPE at Kings College london

Why don't you apply for Economics or Economics and Politics? Seems a bit odd to focus on PPE (and exclude yourself from most London universities) if you're only vaguely interested in philosophy. Have you considered UCL's ESPS degree? You need to be willing to learn a language, but it is very similar to PPE in all other respects.

Very interested in economics and wouldn't mind learning more about Politics and philosophy. Ideally would like to go into accountancy or something business related as a career but would like to study in London to experience something different as i am from Sheffield. With the A levels i do, Kings College London is only good Uni that would consider my application.

I'm studying... A level Physics, Biology and EconomicsI'm interested in... Pursuing a career within the medical treatment sector or accountancy.My study level is... AS-level

If he's applying to KCL he must expect to get A*AA.

I've always been interested in the interconnection between biology and economics and this idea of 'natural capital'. Study in Natural and Resource Economics is available at postgraduate level and LSE offers B.Sc. environmental policy with economics and the University of York offers a B.Sc. in Environment, Economics and Ecology which you could then go on to a Masters in Finance and work for a clean technology venture-capital fund etc in the City of London or for H.M. Government like the Forestry Commission or multi-national companies like the Linde Group.

Have you thought about the subject of Public Health? Queen Mary with the Barts and the London School of Medicine offers a B.Sc. in Global Health and is probably the best course you could find in the UK with modules of: Basic Issues in Politics and Global Health; Introduction to Health Economics; Health Systems, Economics and Policy; and then a masters in public policy and work for the Department for Health and then you be the cross between government and business for companies like McDonalds as economics is perfect for a foundation to public policy or you could do a masters in finance and work for Goldman, Sachs & Co in their healthcare and pharmaceuticals division.

You could work on this notion of 'smart cities' so after a course like York you could pursue a masters in town planning or real estate development to work for the Crown Estate or the Grosvenor Group.

Hi, thanks. May consider Political Economics (basically economics and politics) at KCL. As my A levels allow me to do it. Thanks for advice i have checked course content and is very appealing to me

Economics and Politics are the social sciences whilst Biology and Physics are natural sciences.

You can do something clever like B.Sc. Geography at King's College, London focusing on physical geography joint with B.A. International Relations at SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies) with modules of:

- Geographical Foundations: the making of the modern world
- The Changing Natural Environment
- Introduction to International Relations
- War and the International
- Physical Geography: Earth Surface Processes and Management
- Globalisation and Global Governance
- International Relations of the Middle East
- Environmental Risk, Governance and Society

UCL have a masters in the Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment

This would be great for a career at the Department for Energy and Climate Change and multi-national companies like BP and Centrica (British Gas). You could also work in defence industries and policy regarding the geopolitics of oil and energy and encompassing the area of energy security.

When you are in London you should visit the Royal Geographical Society and the Geological Society of London as both are fascinating and full of resources and are always doing events so you can network with academics and professionals.

They have everything to do with getting the most out of the a-level subjects chosen that would position the OP to being highly employable in the marketplace - and not another PPE clone thinking they will get directly to the cabinet.
