Same sex vs Mixed accommodation

I would like to go into halls, but Im not sure whether or not I would like to go in all girls, or mixed with boys.
I dont think I would mind sharing with boys but Im nervous.
What would anyone recommend?

Heya,

This is entirely up to your own personal preference - pick whichever you think you'll feel most comfortable with. Is there anything in particular that makes you feel nervous about sharing with boys? :h: If you do chose an all girls dorm, chances are you'll be socialising with people from other halls any way, so don't feel like you'll only have female friends if you pick an all girl's dorm.

Hi, the dorms can be a bit daunting but I decided to pick a mixed flat as I thought this would bring a nice variety of different people (and a flat of all girls was a terrifying thought), I love my mixed flat, we have a perfect 3/3 although it's not like that in every flat. It's nice to hang out with some of the other gender and it makes the discussions and talking kind of funny. Do what feels right for you!
Hi, I am currently in a flat with all girls which has worked out fine for me but I also spend some time in my friends flat which has a mix and that is also good fun and provides lots of different types of conversations. It depends on whether you generally make friends with boys or girls better. Go for what you think will suit you and remember you will be moving out for the second year and can always change who you are living with then. I hope this helps and just keep calm, you find you usually get used to living with whoever you end up with.
